Chi Tau Epsilon Honor Society presents the 2016 AIDS Outreach Center Benefit Concert, a showcase featuring DanceTCU, the performing company of the School for Classical & Contemporary Dance at TCU and four professional dance companies from around the DFW metroplex: Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, Nymbal new ballet, Out on a Limb Dance, and wild goose chase dance. The concert will take place on Saturday, February 20th at 7:30 p.m. in the Erma Lowe Hall, Studio Theatre (TCU campus). Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for non-TCU students, and free for TCU students with ID. All admission fees will go directly to AIDS Outreach Center of Greater Tarrant County. A light reception will be held following the concert for audience members, representatives of the AOC staff, choreographers, and dancers to meet and greet.

AIDS Outreach Center (AOC) is a non-profit organization that offers services to men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS in the Tarrant County area and provides prevention and educational outreach programs to the community. The benefit concert is the culminating event of an ongoing initiative by Chi Tau Epsilon members to raise awareness for AOC. All of the proceeds of this concert will go directly to AOC and be used to support client services and programs.

In 1993, XTE President Andy Parkhurst organized students in the TCU College of Fine Arts to honor musician and dance accompanist Lee Fincher, who had recently lost his battle to HIV/AIDS. Students organized quickly and enthusiastically to establish a benefit concert in his honor, which has continued to grow over the past twenty years. Last year XTE, along with the support of metroplex dance companies, raised about $3,000 for AOC. The members hope to better their efforts this year and draw greater attention towards the fundamental impact that AIDS Outreach Center of Greater Tarrant County had had on the overall health and well-being of our community.
